Pets are both collection results and part of the Dig For Eggs economy. The official description says buried eggs hatch into rare pets and those pets earn cash, including while the player is offline. Official badges add two useful anchors: the Pet Index tracks different animal species, with a goal at ten, and hatching an animal of Legendary rarity or higher is a separate discovery milestone.

Test pet incomeMove from egg to active pet
Find an egg through the normal digging route and bring it to the plot. Complete the current hatch interaction, then read the animal name and rarity on the reveal. Check the Pet Index before managing the result so you know whether the species was new.
Next, identify where owned animals are stored and which spaces on the plot are productive. Follow the live placement or activation control. The public description does not say that every owned pet earns at the same time, so confirm active status rather than assuming it.
Observe the cash display or per-pet information. If the animal has a visible income value, record the unit and time basis exactly. If it has only a general status, compare total cash over a fixed interval while holding other variables steady.
Separate collection and economy decisions
The Animal Collector badge says discovering ten different species in the Pet Index is the objective and that a species still counts even if the animal is later sold. That means a lower-income new species can be valuable for collection progress even when it is not part of the long-term plot lineup.
Income decisions require current numbers. A higher rarity may be promising, but rarity alone does not prove a better cash rate. Compare the live animal detail, placement requirement, and observed contribution. Keep a rare discovery for collection or testing when its economic effect is unclear.
When plot space is limited, prioritize animals whose contribution you can verify and reserve room for a new hatch when possible. Expand only after checking the current cost and the exact additional capacity or benefit shown in game.
Read rarity carefully
Legendary-or-higher is officially confirmed by the Legendary Discovery badge. “Rare pets” is part of the official game description. No public first-party source provides the complete tier order, color system, odds, shiny variants, or guarantee rules.
Copy the live label rather than mapping color to a name. If an animal is called Legendary, record that. If a video calls an animal Mythic but the visible game label cannot be read, keep the claim at Community reported or leave it out. A thumbnail is not a rarity table.
Use the Pet Rarity Guide for a status-based comparison. It focuses on what each label changes for a player—collection milestone, plot choice, and need for live value checks—without pretending to know an unsupported percentage.
Build a useful pet record
Improve the plot without wasting space
Fill existing productive spaces before paying for capacity unless the current upgrade has another clearly shown benefit. Replace one animal at a time and compare the result over the same interval. If total cash falls, restore the previous lineup if the game allows it.
Do not sell duplicates automatically until you understand storage, discovery, and value. A duplicate may have a different live income value or may be useful while another hatch finishes. Use the interface’s comparison information, not an assumed “best rarity wins” rule.
Before logging out, confirm which pets remain active and note cash. On return, record the offline award or new total before collecting other income. The Offline Earnings guide turns that observation into a clean test.
Troubleshoot missing income or index progress
If a new animal does not appear in the Pet Index, confirm the reveal completed and whether it was actually a new species. Reopen the index and allow normal synchronization. A different rarity of an existing species may not satisfy a “different species” objective.
If cash does not increase, check placement, active status, collection controls, and whether the displayed income waits for an interval or manual claim. Change only one pet so the before-and-after result stays readable. Exact formulas remain unverified.
If the plot is full, finish current hatches, inspect stored animals, and compare verified contributions. Use Plot Upgrades when added space has a clear purpose and cost.
Plan the next session
Choose one collection target and one economy target. The collection target might be a new species toward the official ten-species badge. The economy target might be confirming the income of one placed pet or improving the weakest productive space. One controlled hatch can serve both goals if its source and result are recorded.
Return to the Eggs hub when the next problem is finding or hatching. Move to Progression when the pet lineup works but shovel, strength, or plot growth limits the loop.
Verification level: rare pets, pet cash, offline cash, Pet Index discovery, ten different species, and Legendary-or-higher rarity are Official. Complete species, tiers, rates, placement rules, sale behavior, and income formulas need current in-game testing.
