Eggs connect active digging to the pet economy. The official Dig For Eggs description confirms that eggs are buried, can hatch into rare pets, and support a plot that earns cash. The useful route is therefore more than finding a colorful object: uncover it, confirm pickup, return safely, complete the plot handoff, hatch it, inspect the animal, and record the discovery in the Pet Index.

How to Hatch Eggs
Trace pickup, delivery, placement, hatch progress, and animal receipt so one failed state is easy to diagnose.
Use the hatch guideUnderstand what is actually confirmed
The Roblox Experience says players find buried eggs and hatch rare pets. The First Hatch badge confirms that one completed hatch produces an animal and begins collection progress. Deep Digger confirms at least one meaningful depth milestone at 100 studs. These facts support a depth-aware find-and-hatch loop.
They do not establish a complete egg roster, exact rarity colors, secret-egg names, drop probabilities, guaranteed depth bands, hatch timers, slot counts, or pity system. Recent community videos show strong interest in large, rare, legendary, mythic, and secret eggs, but a title alone does not verify an entity or rate. Use the live game for each field.
This hub calls the list “currently documented,” not complete. A blank value means the current sources do not support it; it is not an invitation to copy a value from a similar game.
Find eggs without losing the return path
Before descending, locate the plot and surface route. Equip the current shovel, test one nearby block, and choose a path that remains readable from below. A stepped shaft or short turns are easier to reverse than a straight drop. Use a displayed depth value when available and note the deepest point where your current setup still clears blocks comfortably.
When an egg appears, stop and inspect the label, color, size, pickup prompt, and any rarity text the live game actually shows. Do not infer rarity from appearance alone. Confirm that the egg enters a carried, stored, or plot-bound state before continuing. If capacity or movement changes, make the return immediately rather than risking another branch.
Depth can guide repeated tests, but it should not become a false promise. Record where a find happened and whether another run reproduced it. One discovery proves an egg was found there once; it does not prove a guaranteed location or probability.
Complete the plot handoff
At the plot, use the current delivery or placement prompt. Community reporting describes placing eggs at the base, but exact controls and timer behavior can change. Confirm that the egg leaves the carried state and appears in the hatch flow. If the game shows a slot limit, read the occupied and available spaces before trying again.
Start the hatch through the live interaction and watch for a named state: waiting, progress, ready, open, or a direct result. Do not leave until you know whether progress continues while away. No public first-party source documents hatch duration or offline hatching.
When the animal appears, note the name and rarity exactly as shown. Check whether the Pet Index updates and whether the animal needs placement to earn cash. A successful hatch is complete only when the result exists in the collection or inventory, not merely when the egg disappears.
Record an egg usefully
Decide which egg to process first
If plot or hatch space is limited, prioritize a clearly new discovery, then an egg whose displayed rarity or source differs from what you already documented. Keep one slot available when possible so the next find does not block the active loop. Do not discard a known egg solely because a community title calls another egg “best”; compare what the live result contributes to collection and income.
For a first hatch, choose the egg whose route and prompt you understand. Completing the official First Hatch milestone teaches the whole handoff. Later, use the Pet Rarity Guide to interpret confirmed labels and Pet Income to test usefulness after placement.
Fix common egg problems
If no eggs appear, verify that you are in the correct Experience, actively breaking valid ground, and completing enough blocks for a meaningful sample. Upgrade only if the live game shows a strength or shovel bottleneck. Do not conclude that a claimed rarity was removed after a short unlucky run.
If an egg cannot be picked up, read capacity and carrying messages, clear or finish an existing egg state, and approach again. If it reaches the plot but will not hatch, identify whether delivery, placement, start, wait, or reveal is the missing step. The Hatch Eggs guide follows that sequence.
If the Pet Index does not change after the reveal, reopen the index, confirm the species rather than only rarity, and allow normal server synchronization. The Animal Collector badge describes different species, so a duplicate may not move that count.
Continue from eggs to pets
A hatched animal can affect both collection and cash. Open the Pet Index to distinguish discovered species from currently placed pets. Use Plot Upgrades if space, rather than egg supply, becomes the bottleneck. Return to How to Dig when finding eggs is limited by the active route.
Verification level: buried eggs, hatching rare pets, First Hatch, the 100-stud depth milestone, Pet Index collection, and Legendary-or-higher rarity are Official. Exact egg entities, depths, rates, timers, slot rules, and hatch controls need in-game testing.
